Amy’s Hut by Emilie Riegel
When her husband walked out, leaving her with two teenagers, Amy
decided to break out on her own. She left Germany and arrived in
Australia with little possessions, but a great desire for a warm
climate and the freedom to be herself.
Amy’s journey takes her to Nimbin, to Queensland and back
to Nimbin. We follow her turbulent love affair with Joshua, young
enough to be her son. Gradually she overcomes the traumatic legacy
of her wartime childhood and failed marriage, and achieves the self-discovery
and independence she was denied for so long.
Sunrise Sunset by Emilie Riegel
Rosa is a survivor.
Travel with her through war shattered Europe, through a life with
more than its share of drama, through four continents and through
Australia’s sub-tropical counter culture to her final days
in her own paradise.
